Phone mast meeting on site

The Scottish Executive Inquiry Reporter dealing with the Appeal lodged by Vodaphone will visit the Millennium Park site at 10.30 a.m. on 20th January.

The original application for the Installation of Telecommunications Equipment in the verge adjoining the Millennium Park was refused by Perth and Kinross Council. The Appeal will be disposed of on the basis of written submissions.

The Reporter will visit the site to see it for himself. It will not be possible to make representations to him but a good turn out of people who care about the Park would let him see that there is strength of feeling locally.

As a Community Council we still think that the proposed location is completely inappropriate and shall continue to oppose this Application for all the reasons we have already stated.  We understand that the proprietors of neighbouring locations are prepared to allow the mast but Vodaphone would have to pay a rental whereas the verge would be free.
