Work on Kinnoull Hill Path
Perth & Kinross Council is to carry out work on Core Path number SCON/116 on Kinnoull Hill in the next few months.
After discussions with the Woodland Park User Group, the Council will be arranging for installation of three self closing gates and two stiles which can be bypassed if necessary. No surfacing of the path is being undertaken as it has been indicated that users of the path feel that this would detract from the nature of the walk.
Later this year, Forestry Commission Scotland will be undertaking works in the woodland to the east of the Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park, and the Council will clear the path as it leaves the Coronation Road by removing vegetation and opening up the existing narrow path. Way markers and limited signage will also be installed to clarify the line of the path.
The Council has been in discussion with neighbouring land owners and will continue to discuss and agree the nature of works. It anticipates works being undertaken in late September or October and says that it is unlikely that there will be any disruption to users of either the route or the Woodland Park during works.
